Re               How to support the Shriners Hospital for Children fundraising license plate

Shriners  Hospital for Children® needs  your help!  We have developed a bill to  create a hospital license plate (see attachments).  Now’s the time for  you to contact your State Senator and Representative and simply ask them  to co-sponsor the “Shriners Hospitals for Children® bill,LRB 2483”.  Legislators have until Monday,February 6 to co-sponsor the bill.  Below is help on how to reach your legislators.

For  each plate purchased,$25 per year will be divided equally between the  Chicago &Twin Cities hospital funds.  The first $23,700 goes to DOT  to pay for the initial set-up/design costs.

Here is the plan! I will keep updating you as we proceed.

1. Get co-sponsors (Now)

2. Ask Committee Chair to release bill from committee for the whole legislature to vote on. (future)

3. Ask Rep/Senator to vote for the bill. (future)

It is easy for any Wisconsin resident to find who represents them by using the Wisconsin Legislature Website:www.legis.wisconsin.gov

Under the photograph of the capitol’s rotunda is a link that reads:

“WHO REPRESENTS ME? – Find your state and fed­er­al rep­res­ent­at­ives.”

At  this link,enter the address of your residence and up pops your state  senator and representative with contact info,including phone and email  address.

If  your state legislators will change due to redistricting,both the old  pair and new pair of legislators will appear,and you should contact all  four of them!

If your State Representative happens to be either of these Masons,ask them to support the Nobility and co-sponsor the bill!
